Dear all,

It is our feeling that PhD students are not encouraged enough to create intra-team relationships, both personally and professionally. Since finally almost all of us are now back on site, we would like to organize a social event to encourage the establishing of such relationships. The idea is to have seminars where some of us can briefly present their thesis in a friendly and informal environment, followed by a convivial moment with snacks and drinks.

The envisaged format is one monthly seminar, with short presentations (10 to 15 minutes + 5 to 10 minutes of questions), in English, given by PhD students working in Inria teams (with a possible extension to interns, post-docs and research engineers). The primary location for the seminars would be the large amphitheater of the Montbonnot building. However, the event could be organized in other places in Grenoble like the IMAG building on the Saint Martin d’Hères campus.
